Q&A

How many treatments will I need?

In general, it may take 6 months to 1 -1/2 years to achieve permanent hair removal as long as there are no factors such as hormonal imbalances creating additional unwanted hairs. Once you decide to begin electrolysis treatments, it is important to schedule appointments regularly. Scheduling every week or every two weeks is recommended during the first few months. With time, fewer hairs will regrow and treatments can be scheduled less frequently.

Can I still tweeze or wax?

It is necessary to discontinue other forms of temporary hair removal such as tweezing, waxing and threading as those methods may cause hair to become coarse and distorted. If such methods are used between electrolysis treatments, hairs removed by those methods may not be visible during subsequent electrolysis treatments.

Does it hurt?

Most clients describe the treatment as a pinch, a mild rubber band snap, or itchiness. Pain tolerance levels vary form person to person. For those with a lower tolerance for pain, a mild anesthetic can be applied to the area to be treated 45 minutes prior to the appointment time.

Adela uses the Platinum Pure machine which allows for a more comfortable electrolysis treatment. It is the latest technology created  with efficiency and the client’s comfort in mind.
